The colour is amber-red (15 EBC), the liquid clear. The finger thick off-white head quickly sinks to a thick lid leaving no lacing.
The smell is a bit rough (as it is supposed to be) with some smooth yeast, fruity hops (not much citric notes), quite a lot of dough and biscuits. Harsh hints of green plants and tree sap.
The taste is a bit sour in the start. Hoppy bitter flavours, quite a lot of wood (Northern Brewer?) and a somewhat rough bitterness. The semi-sweet malts gives biscuit-y flavours, some cream and a touch of coconut. Low to medium body. The aftertaste is quite short with some unclean hops, hints of toffee and cookies. The finish is smooth and somewhat bitter.
The carbonation is fresh with lots of large bubbles. The liquid is mid-smooth and a little thin.
