From notes.
Pint consumed from draught at the Red Hot in Tacoma, Washington, for $4.25. I'd never heard of it or Rainy Daze (although it was a rainy day) before. Since availability is a required field, I put down year-round, but I have no idea if that's actually the case.
Served in kind of a UK style pint glass, this was a chill-hazed amber, with a good-sized white head. Decent lace.
The aroma was hoppy, a mix of pine and grapefruit.
The taste was pretty much like the aroma. Bitter hops out front, but not so bitter as to be unbalanced. Things got a bit sweeter and a little syrupy mid taste, before things ended on a dry zap.
Medium bodied, with a sticky, resiny mouthfeel.
A pretty good, not great, IPA. I was glad to have one, and would do so again, but I wouldn't want more than one per session, as I found it a little too thick and syrupy for that, and it would probably not be a great thing to pair up with food, as there was quite the sweet-hop aftertaste.
