my first from these guys, never even heard of them before this, but had to get into their wet hop when i saw it. very good expression of sabro here, and this beer is unique in that its not just the hops, its got some grain support, and instead of it being just hop juice like everyone wants to make with sabro these days, this is really balanced beer where the grain actually enhances some elements of the hops, and it drinks round and easy, almost more pale than ipa, nice. dry for having some grain presence, pale and frothy in the glass, aroma of fresh sliced pineapple, meyer lemon, just picked tea leaves, and resinous sativa trichomes just dripping, very northwestern, but it smells more intense than it tastes, and i dont really mind that, especially in a wet hop beer. lighter medium body, oily texture from the hops, but not too sticky and the ferment is clean and the finish is fast, aided by rushing carbonation. simple beer really, all about the hops, but in better balance than most and highly refined. i look forward to dipping my beak into some more of their stuff when i next have the chance!
