Union Brewing Company

Visited right at opening so probably not fair to judge the vibe. Service was friendly and multiple samples were offered. A few guest taps in addition to to their 6 lines of cask ales. When visiting a brewery that focuses on cask ales I was a little disappointed that 3 of their 6 lines were IPAs. Not really looking for IPAs when i'm in the mood for something on cask. I could see how this would be a fun spot on a nice day/night being right on the Monon.

Really enjoy the cask beer at UBC. It is unique and always changing. With live music and campfires at their outdoor space UBC is the perfect location to relax and enjoy a great beer!

Great little micro brewery. Nice taproom with room outside and right off the monon. Friendly helpful staff and a good selection of beers. What really sets These guys apart is the majority of their beers are conditioned in and served from casks. Some of the happier beers served on cask were a little odd - kind of like having IPAs on nitro, it isn't for everyone but a really cool experience and the have a handful on CO2 if that is more to your liking. Overall neat little place doing some very unique things in the Indy area.

The strip mall location is a little off, but the outside area is pretty nice. Mostly cask here, which can turn people away in a hurry. A quadruple IPA on cask was an experience, but I don't love cask ales. If that is your thing, and you live in the Indy area, than you really should be checking this place out.

 

 

Cool joint right off the Monon trail. Finally a brew pub that is in walking distance. Great service too. No uppity hipsters!!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Atmosphere - between the patio and the wooden interior, this place is awesome

Quality - some of their own beers were not great, but the guest handles rocked

Service - good service with .nothing to complain about

Selection - putting guest taps helped this score quite a bit, but good selection overall

Overall this place is quite a fun spot hidden away in a strip mall. Being from outta town I just googled it and was pleasantly surprised!

Union is a small brewery directly off the Monon Trail. They feature a few of their own cask brews as well a very nice variety of guest taps/casks. Additionally, they offer select bottles of craft beer and ciders.

The location and casual atmosphere are a huge plus to Union. The main area is small and cozy, with a large garage door that opens to outdoor seating, all facing the Monon Trail.

What I enjoy most about Union, though, is their variety of brews. Every single time I've been there, they have a new selection, many of which I've never tried. The brewers are, of course, very knowledgeable on everything they serve and aren't shy to give samples of the day's offerings.

Service is good, atmosphere is good, and the beer is good!

I am always skeptical of a brewery in a strip mall but this place rocks! The atmosphere, both inside and out back, are very comfortable and inviting. One of the owners is typically on site at any given time and happy to show you around. Although they don't serve food, they usually have quality food trucks on weekends that have always impressed me with their quality, taste and value. The beer...Cameron is an incredible brewmaster. They generally have 3 or 4 house beers available and as many guest taps. Union Brewing Co is definitely worth the trip.

Union Brewing Company is a new nanobrewery in Carmel, Indiana. Brewmaster Cameron seems to have the magic touch for only creating palate-pleasing brews, and I've enjoyed every visit to their cozy little location. Food is available on-site via one of many Indianapolis-area food trucks that park out back or out front. Check out UBC as soon as you can!!
