Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass.
Beaming and nearly crystal clear body appearance with small and multiple amounts of fine rising bubbles. Fluffy and thick topped four finger and controlled head, bright white and barely even budging. Thick and chunky top with slow settling and a thick appearance. Great looking IPA.
Delicious sensing aroma. Gum drop and candy sensing, with touches of sharp bitter tangerine citrus notes. Hints a little bit of melon and possibly pine as well giving some earthy like quality too. Lots to explore in the hop vein on this nose, and delivers nicely.
Palate is just as expressive. Honey like malt coating, gives a big bounce to the hop flavors which hit with bitter citrus. Finishes with hot pine like action in the aftertaste. Noticeable fusel notes throughout, but accentuates much of the bitterness and citrus for some real pleasant flavors.
This runs a bit boozy hot, but manages some great fruit character while still making it drinkable. Is a bit borderline in heat and booze, if it was dialed or masked nicely then this would be very impressive.
