Served in nonic. Poured a very lightly hazy, clear brown color with about 1/8 inch of light tan head that medium retention and low lacing.
The nose was very mellow and subdued, no obvious bacon scent, just the basic maltiness typical of the style. On the tongue, again, the beer starts out fairly typical, but the bacon starts showing itself midway across the palate.
The body is about what's expected, on the lighter side of medium overall, and has a slightly sticky finish. Drinkability is solidly decent. Overall, a solid, well-made example of the style, with a bit of an extra treat. Worth trying a pint if you see it. Or, come to Bellingham next Sunday, maybe it'll be on tap at Baconfest.
