Poured into a Dogfish Head pint glass. Pours a medium coppery amber with a half finger light tan head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of caramal malt, earthy and nutty; lightly spicy. Flavor is laid back sweet caramel malt, nuts, mild hops. Faint hints of the maple syrup and vanilla, but the bacon is faint with just a hint of smokiness. Earthiness from the the hemp seed. Nice slightly creamy medium body. An interesting sweet malty beer, leaning towards a scotch ale. The flavor is subdued, but I enjoyed the well melded flavors. Unique and fun to drink. Maybe some day there will be a real 420 version.
