ransport yourself to Willy Wonka's factory. Tart, juicy blueberries come together with the subtle sweetness of marshmallow and a smooth, creamy mouthfeel.

I found this one-year out-of-date beer in my sister's fridge in January 2025 and insisted I give it a good home. I drank it in February of that year.
L: This thick-looking, strawberry-coloured beer has a long-lasting, fluffy white head that leaves a sticky rim down the glass. No carbonation can be seen, but all in all, it's a very interesting-looking beer.
S: Sour, lactose notes, and a sharp strawberry/yeasty note hint at the likely flavour profile. That strawberry profile is undoubtedly meant to be blueberry, but my nose tells me it's strawberry!
T: Tart, bracing blueberry and strawberry notes dominate the flavour profile before the lactose sweetness (the can says there are also marshmallows in the beer) kicks in to settle everything down. It's still tart but on the refreshing end of that sensation. The finish is a little thin for a beer with lactose but about what is expected from a kettle-soured beer.
M: Initially full and rich, the mouthfeel ends slightly thinner but still pleasant. Carbonation is low but nicely dialled in.
O: This is a pretty nice beer, considering it was brewed as a one-off for the Great Australia Beer Spectapular in 2023, and the can I'm drinking is over a year out of date! I have no complaints here, and if it were ever brewed again, I'd happily drink it.
Cheers!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
