Poured from an aged (one year) bottle into a glass, split w a pal who got it from a friend in New Hampshire. Cloudy reddish-amber w quickly dissipating carbonation. Understated aroma of grapes, grape skins, oak. Taste is lightly tart, grape skins, wood. Creamy medium mouthfeel. Summary: more interesting than delicious.

From the 650 ml. bottle with a 2017 vintage. Sampled on July 19, 2017.
It had a slight cloudy mainly amber pour with some reddish hues around the edges. Quick lasting off-white head.
The aroma brings out a oakiness, a definite cherry or red grape ester, and a little sweet malt underbelly.
Light to medium mouthfeel.
What I liked about the taste was that it was more tart and fruity rather than sour. There was a mild sweetness under it all. The tartness lingered momentarily at the finish. This is the kind of sour ale I could drink more of because I am puckering up less.

Bottle from a Lazy Dog.
Brilliantly clear deep reddish brown with a good sized tan head that dissipates quickly. Vinous fruity tart cherry on the nose with a hint of brown sugary maltiness underneath. Fruity and tart flavor but not overwhelmingly so as there is still a bit of sweet malty sugar. Pretty tasty beer, not overly sour earthy or funky.
