From the can, it pours a clear yellow gold with a modest white head that soon diminishes to a small ring. In the mouth, it is lightly malt sweet with a bit of astringency in the back of the mouth. My nose is stuffed, so all I get is a light fresh scent.

Can from a Lazy Dog,
Lightly hazy dark yellow in color with a tightly bubbled white head that quickly recedes. Bready crackery maltiness with hints of fruit and light green apple. Earthy floral hops with light astringency.

16oz tallboy can, media sample from the brewery.
Crystal clear golden hued brew, beautiful white froth on top. Very aromatic with lot of herbal, tea, and faint lemony citrus notes. Suggestions of honey and lemongrass within the malt and hops, perfectly balanced and extremely drinkable. Crackery, kiss of bread crust, and faint grapenuts. More flavor than bitterness but as said ... the balance is there. Lands on the dry side. Is it better than their regular Kolsch? Yes, without a doubt.

Can. Gold with very slight chill haze and lasting small head. Honey herbal aroma with a hint of citrus. I was expecting a lightly toasted crackery malt sweetness but something went wrong here. The malt sugary sweet and and it feels slick. The finish is herbal and slick with a lot of residual sweetness. Light slick body. Appropriate high carbo. Pretty gross. Not sure what went wrong.
