Hirtshals 13/10 2020. 50 cl bottle from Ostehandleren, Nørregade, Hirtshals. A very long-haired (and blue) knight on his horse on the label.
Pours unclear amber with a small white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin patch of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with spicy notes. Caramel and toffee Light roast. Cardboard. Licorice and salt.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a fairly strong sweetness followed by a moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undercurrent. Lingers for a while. Finish is quite dry.
Quite on the sweet side but has a redeeming bitterness in the aftertaste.
