473 ml can served cold into a chalice. LCBO purchase for about $4.50 CDN. Canned May 24, 2024. Listed as WCIPA so I'm fairly certain this is a different beer than the Farmer's Tan Summer IPA.
Appearance - Rich amber color crowned with a finger and a half of foamy off-white head. Good head retention but minimal lacing. Clear in transparency with few bubbles.
Smell - Passionfruit and tangerine with some overripe pineapple.
Taste - Again the passionfruit and tangerine combo, with pineapple filling in the gaps and a rich malt backbone. Fairly bitter to close and borders on overkill.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with light carbonation and fairly dry finish. Some mouth puckering astringency with the hop forward nature of this brew.
Overall - A fine WCIPA, enjoyable and high bitterness levels (even though it's 40 IBU's). I imagine the OG hopheads here would enjoy this one.
