Served on tap in a sample glass at the Lupulin Slam.
Appearance: Cloudy burnished copper topped by a rocky white head. Very bubbly. The head diminishes to a ring and a film after a few sips. Decent amounts of lacing were left on the glass.
Smell: Intense aromas of grapefruit and orange with some caramelized sugars backing it up.
Taste: Sweet caramel malt with a wackload of hop tastes. Pine, orange marmalade, floral overtones. Very bittersweet. Aftertaste lingers for quite some time.
Mouthfeel: Nice and thick, quite viscous. Coats the mouth and abuses you with glee.
Drinkability: Damn this is nice stuff, and the rest of the crowd agreed as it took 2nd place in the Lupulin Slam. A great taste akin to Dreadnaught. Damn nummy.
Other: Uses all pale malt with Centennial, Columbus, and Amarillo hops. The name is 2 for two I's + 71 for 71 lbs of hops be 7 barrel batch. Not named after adding one to the result of mixing 60 minute IPA, 90 minute IPA, and 120 minute IPA together.
