Tap at grand cru Rhinebeck
Big foamy head, decent soapy lacing, slight hazy honey orange color.
Nose spicy hops, little pine sap note, mild big fruity, cherry pit, stone fruit, plum like fruit thing, little pear, little lemony sour thing, light malt.
Taste brings a little sweet toasted blond malt, grainy little cracker, into mild bitterness but fun hops, herbal grassy notes, a blend of different fruits, apple pear, under ripe apricot, touch lemon and citrus zest, little pith. Then hops get spicy and earthy, big bitterness esp on the finish, drier but sticky.
Mouth is med bod, nice carb.
Overall an interesting beer, shows the versatility and oddness of calypso hops but doesn't didn't overpower thankfully.
