A New York take on the classic German Pilsner. Crispy, subtly bitter with a touch of bread malt and floral hop character. Reminiscent of a big beer lager but with small batch flavor and aroma. Enjoy it anytime anywhere!

From the can it pours a clear golden straw color with lots of visible carbonation. A large white thumb length head, moussy and foamy, displays good retention. As far as Pilsners go, it looks pretty textbook.

The aroma opens cleanly, followed by sweet notes of grainy malt, honey like and biscuity. There is a gentle touch of fruity and floral hops and sweet grass.

Light to medium bodied with a crisp mouthfeel. The taste highlights crisp cracker, bready and biscuity malts. Sweet throughout, the malts are balanced by yeasty spices, floral, grassy and earthy hops. A clean and gentle bitterness develops. The carbonation is lively. The finish is dry with a touch of earthy spices and hops bitterness.

This was a tasty Pilsner. Nice malt flavors balanced with good hops character. I will have again.

Decanted from a 12 oz (355 ml) can into a shaker pint glass; canned 12/04/19.
A: Pours a nearly clear, golden (toward light amber) color with a two to three finger, foamy white head, cap and rim retention, and clear rings of lacing.
S: Peppery with grainy and grassy aromas. Definite apple and barley notes
T: Semidry. Flavorfully grainy with a definite apple note, richly malty, and solid, persistent bitterness.
M: Light to almost medium bodied with very solid and persistent carbonation. Drinks smoothly and fairly cleanly. Creamy?
O: Yonkers has produced a solid, richly flavorful, eminently drinkable, dare I say New York Pilsner. I’ll definitely use this as a “go to.“

Canned 12/04/19. Poured into a Pilsner glass.

L: 3.75 Golden body with a short white head. Good carbonation matriculating upwards. Looks wonderful.
S: 3.75 floral and bready. Just what you want.
T: 4 One of the best tasting Pilsners I've had. Just the right amount of bitterness.
F 3.75 Quenching.
O: 3.75. A bit expensive (NY craft beer, of course) but worth a shot. I'm very satisfied.
