Dry and slightly tart wheat beer brewed with hibiscus, sweet orange peel and chamomile. Reminiscent of a Sparkling Rosé!

Yonkers Brewing Co. "Hibiscus Wheat"
on tap at the brewery on 22 March 2021
Look: Mostly clear light pink body capped by a thin lid of white foam that fades readily. Limited head retention and lacing.
Smell: Limited aroma of delicate, non-distinct fruitiness and a soft herbal component that's maybe more like dried flowers.
Taste: Gently tart, lightly fruity (berry-like), mildly herbal, and subtly earthy. Interesting, and charming. There's enough there to keep you interested. Limited bitterness but still with a dry finish. Some fruitiness and earthiness lingers shortly.
Feel: Light-medium in body and gently crisp.
Overall: An interesting and refreshing beer that's got enough character and complexity that you could have more than one if you wanted without getting bored.

Decanted from a 12 oz (355 ml) can into a rectangular pint glass; canned on Jan 22, 2020.
A: Pours a hazy, rose color (think a rosé wine) with one to two finger, pink tinged, white head, rim retention and spotty lacing at best.
S: Floral with very light aromas of wheat grain, bread, and berry.
T: More semidry than semisweet. Flavors of wheat grain, cracker, cloves, and cranberry. I think the contribution of the hibiscus is subtle but very refreshing. Acidity leads to a crisp, clean finish.
M: Light bodied with no more than effervescence.
O: This is a very refreshing, dare I say fun, take on the wheat beer style. The hibiscus seems to add IMHO.
