Not quite Jet black but close. Dark brown head, sizeable with a slow fade. Light covering and a ring.
Nice aroma. Ginger, cinnamon, chocolate vanilla, figs, a hint of earthy hops.
Chocolate and ginger hit first. Dark roasted malt with a touch of char. Cinnamon and dark fruits. Sweet molasses and burnt caramel. Mild earthy hops in the long finish. Coffee, ginger and cinnamon linger with a healthy roasted and charred malt.
Soft creamy mouthfeel. Gentle, active carbonation. Lush thickish feel gives a silky swallow
