Twice I have been to this brewery and both times I have left unimpressed with the beers. Both times at the brewery, it was absolutely packed to the point of unavailable seating which is perfectly fine and encouraging to me. Service was nothing special. The brewery seems to brew mostly IPAs. If I am not mistaken, I tried all of their flagships between the two visits and found all their beers to be overly bitter and lacking flavor. Inside is quite nice and they seem to have tons of events, but there are plenty of places like this in the Twin Cities with better beer

It's a decent location with a shuffleboard table, bar seating, stand-up tables, and table seating, but the beer is inconsistent and the prices high. $11 for a 4-beer sampler is ridiculous.

i think its weird and lame that the locals dont give any love to these guys. they make good enough beer and have some real gems in the lineup, plus, the place is mellow and comfortable, nonjudgmental, and very relaxed. not the largest selection, but enough diversity that the menu resonated with me. the lager was solid, the farmhouse was too, and pretty much everything we tried was relevant. service was sort of interesting, slower, but friendly, not beery but endearing, and there is still a place for that in my book. cruisy long bar, a set back little street area thats mellow and cool, and seriously better beer than people talk about. i could have hunkered down here for awhile if we werent moving, i think its unfair that they dont get more love. cool pint cans too, the package looks good and the beer in them is fresh and sound. maybe not the most inventive and memorable beer in the world, but these guys fill an important niche in the twin cities beer scene and i feel blessed to have had the privilege of getting drunk here...

Going to be as nice as I can for this. The place is great. One of the nice looking and best set up tap rooms in MN. After that it goes downhill. Have yet to find a beer that I would go back for from this brewery.

Good location to other breweries and nice place to hang out with friends but sub par on beer selection and taste.

Its a real nice setting and when the weather is decent its nice to sit outside. It can get loud inside and their beer is not my favorite but it is a friendly place.

Cool old brick building with two bars, games, friendly service and really good beer. A couple of the beers were unavailable, but that's how it goes at small brewery taprooms. Wish we had more time to spend here!

I love the 612 Brew tap room space, and it's especially fun when they have live music outside in the summer. But the quality of the beer is pretty dismal. I've had a few styles here and none of them have been that good. Some have been downright awful (Mary Ann, Shere Khan and Tequila Mockingbird). These guys need to step up their beer quality game to compete with the other good bewers in town (Surly, Indeed, Harriet, Dangerous Man, Boom Island, etc.). I hope they can do it, because they have one of the nicer tap room spaces in town.

I think 612 has the best atmoshphere of any brewery in the twin cities and I think they make a good quality beer. Nothing special, but solid. My one gripe is the guy working behind the bar, who whenever someone orders the beer flight, rolls his eys, groans, mumbles obcenities under his breathe then goes about making the flight. While it can be humerous sitting at the bar watching this all go down, it was very unprofessional, and quite rude. Minus that guy I enjoy 612.

In the lower level of a old historic building somewhat hidden by bridge and intersecting roads. It has a nice outside sitting area in the summer to sit and enjoy your beer. Food trucks available and vary. Nice selection of beer that changes frequently. Friendly staff that is also knowledgable about the beer that they are serving. Enjoy this place.

It's an interesting location. Definitely clean, and very industrial in design. The beer was average, but prices were decent. Staff was friendly, even though it was relatively busy...some advertising firm was having a business party.

I'd probably wonder there again.

Neat location in a renovated space, tucked under a major intersection. Food trucks around outside for grub (didn't eat but good to know they are there). Super clean taproom. Friendly service. Ample parking. Space for music outside and outside gathering (was raining pretty hard on the day I went).

Atmosphere- 612 Brew is located in an older warehouse type building in one of the many artist areas around Northeast Minneapolis. The space is very utilitarian in style with and artsy edge. Lots of tables of various heights, plenty of seating and a good amount of open space makes this brew pub cozy. Large painted 612 Brew mural and standing room along their wall of brewing equipment lets you know exactly where you are.

Quality- I had/sampled 3 of their beers. All where good but the Rated -R was the standout and the one i will tell friends about. I wouldn't be afraid to bring a beer snob or noobie here. My feeling is they have something for everyone.

Service- Prompt and polite. someone even was coming around and collecting glasses/ washing down tables.

Selection- they had 5 beers listed, 4 mainstays and i seasonal. One of the mainstays was sold out. Good selection, something for everyone as i said before.

Food- Natedogs was serving hot dogs that people seemed to be enjoying but i did not partake.

Value- was reasonable as compared to other brewpubs in the area.

Thumbs up, i'll be visiting here again for another Rye-IPA.
