Black-ish, burning ember highlights, wet sandy tan head. Surprisingly fruity aroma, with a hint of peanut butter and a nice whack of malty toast. So, PBJ, I guess? But there's more to it than that. It's got a savory edge, like black olives and Vegemite, as well. Intriguing.
First and foremost, lots of Rolo-esque milk chocolate and caramel, and then a peanut butter twang reminiscent of Reese's. But there's also a dark fruitiness that calls to mind prune juice. Quite good – viscous mouthfeel and a lingering cafe mocha finish make this richer than its strength would suggest. A nice sweet stout; not very distinctive by Wild's standards but still very tasty. And very filling. Possible food pairings: Gruyere, brownies, salted caramel, game, and truffles (especially truffled mash).
