L- Pours 'thick' like engine oil. Looks almsot as dark as oil too, plus a brief 1mm very dark brown head (it's 10.3%ABV cannot physically maintain a head -> surface-tension etc.)
S- It has a fruity note or it can also seem like a 'Coca cola' smell, but it seems subtle to me.
T- Oh good grief (I physically shudder). What is this... is it over-prominent bitter apricot?
F- It's that rich it's viscous feeling, and to be clear I mean rich rather than an outright sweetness.
O- To suggest it lacks subtlety would be overly subtle; to me this beer is a bludgeon, it's about making a loud statement. Interesting to try but I'm at a loss who would wish to drink a beer of this kind. It's rare that I struggle to finish any beer but this one is seriosuly hard going....
330ml can £5.20. Bought from TremblingMadness/York for home delivery as part of a c50 beer DIY order. BB: 29/10/2021.
