After Oak is an elegant moreish barrel aged wild ale, balancing oak tannins with floral and melon aromas. Notes of orange oil and pithy grapefruit bitterness and just the right amount of acidity to give a clean drinkability. A beautiful, complex oaky Belgian style beer.
We really got to put our thumbprint on our barrel-aged blends, adjusting the flavours, aromas, and subtle nuances by adding or taking a barrel away. After Oak is blended from ten oak barrels that were holding seven different beers! It's a unique one-off creation that has both an easy drinkability, yet is nuanced, complex and contemplative.

750 ml green waxed bottle, as Wild Beer After Oak BA Wild Belgian Ale, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 6.2%. Slightly hazy golden to orange colour, small white head. Aroma of funk, farmhouse / brettanomyces, honey melons, flowers and honey. The flavour is moderately sour, notes of melons and honey again, but the beer is not very sweet. Hints of oranges and tangerines, also discrete hints of oak, dry finish, low bitterness.
