Bluebird Microcreamery & Brewery

So this is an ice cream place that also makes beer. There were only 2 on tap when I visited. The service was helpful and friendly. The ice cream is clearly their specialty. It was fantastic.

Only half brewery, and the beer selection is very heavy/ dessert focused, but what they do they do well!

Visited the Capitol Hill location days after it opened, tried every beer and was most impressed by the Elysian they sold. That is not to say that their beer was not drinkable and enjoyable but it was certainly not noteworthy. Dude working the register was totally nice and helpful, I purchased a shirt for my girlfriend and a print for myself and got a coupon for a free extra scoop on some ice cream, which I sampled and was impressed with. Wish I could say the same about the beers, honestly, I was rooting for this place but do not see attempting any more of their beers until I see some feedback that makes me feel like they have stepped up their game. Perhaps they are appealing to ice cream eaters and non-beer drinkers by selling sub-par, laymans beer but to those who enjoy quality beer, prepare to be disappointed. Not trying to be mean, just honest after having so many great beers since moving to Washington 4 months ago.
