Tried at Vermont Brewfest.
A-Poured a darker, clear copper color. Hard to recall anything about the head.
S-Really interesting. A Pumpkin Imperial IPA aged in Rum barrels. I get all of it. Pumpkin, various hoppy aromas, rich malt, the rum barrels and plenty of heat. It all works in the nose.
T-Pretty awesome. It's clearly hot but isn't that to be expected here? I'm impressed how he hops have held up and battled out the rum and pumpkin as well as the rich malt. The hops complement the pumpkin and make me think of pumpkin vine. There is a lot of rich caramel wipjich is augmented by the rum (which is devilishly tasty). Finishes hot and oaky.
M-Full bodied. Sweet and bitter. Hot. A sipper. Took my time with the sample.
O-I personally loved this. It reminded me of a hoppy Rumpkin by Avery. My friends were not as enamored but what the hell do they know? This beer was cool!
