Blended Russian Imperial Stout and Sap Beer aged in Makers Mark barrels
APPEARANCE:
Dark, black with slight syrupy consistency. Served in stem tulip glass.
AROMA:
Black cherry bourbon notes with maple tones.
TASTE:
First flavor has rich oatmeal profile of a Russian Imperial Stout but finishes with the sweetness of maple. The grains and sugars are all presented but none overpowering. It's hefty but boozyness does not cover up any of the magic. A very non traditional take on a Belgian Quad but it all comes together in a smooth, rich package.
