750ml bottle into tulip. 2015 release.
A: Pours a deep cola brown with a couple fingers of light brown head that faded into a fuzzy collar that left complex sheet of lace down the glass.
S: Tons of vanilla and honey are easily noticeable followed by notes of sweet chocolate fudge and caramelly sweet bourbon.
T: Sweet honey, sticky bourbon, vanilla, and chocolate syrup up front with hints of caramel, dark chocolate, leather, and roast. I get a touch of acrid char, but it is quickly overpowered by sticky sweetness. This beer is far from cloying though as the sweetness is balanced by the bourbon.
M: Medium body, slick and light mouthfeel, sweet, with light bubbly carbonation.
O: Solid, drinks well, great mix of flavors. Sweet without being overpowering.

Pour is dark brown with a bubbly tan head. Nose has a moderate bourbon and hints of wood, fair amount of dark chocolate maltiness, malts are quite roasted. Flavor is a bit sweeter than the nose would lead on. Woody and whiskey, dark chocolate, fairly rich malt, gets a bit of sugar in the taste and the feel, slightly slick on the back of the throat, assertive carb. Heat and roasty malt in back, gets a touch bitter.

BA Imperial Porter with notes of chocolate, vanilla, and honey. Vanilla came through the most when I had a taster at the taproom. Came through a little bitter, but was delicious. Purchased a bottle and I am curious what will happen to it when it sits for awhile.
