Juniper Berry Saison

Poured on-tap and served in a shaker pint, the beer is a hazed, dark, opaque, orange-brown coloring with a thin, sparse, white, filmy head. Nose of very, very subtle juniper. Really have to dig your nose in there to find it. Not much else on the nose. The flavors are a saving factor, with grassy and barnyard spices forward. Subtle berry sweetness, and some caramel sweet notes, through the backbone. Roasted and herbal aftertaste on a loaded body. The finish is spiced and slightly filmy/frothy. Too heavy for a saison for me, but with some good flavors throughout.
