I don't speak any Mandarin but seem to get by well with this bartender.
While I didn't try the food, I can say it mimics an American burger joint.
The beer list had 14 different offerings and most were solid. The vibe was pretty mellow for a Friday late afternoon. There's much more room upstairs. In fact, all of the beers and food come from there.
This is a quiet and easy place to try new beers (as of April, 2018, 100 RMB for a flight of any three).

It was an interesting journey to get to the taproom. We walked over after a dinner (mmm peking duck) at a nearby restaurant, and we thought we were way off while walking through the alley. But we did find the taproom, and it had a nice communal neighborhood vibe with the shared seating and warm colours. Service was very nice, they let me try a couple of taps before purchasing, and the pricing was quite reasonable- IIRC, it was something like $8 a pint. Fairly standard portfolio of beers, they had a bunch of different IPAs and a few darker beers with a small amount of adjuncts in them. Cool vibe, mostly seemed to be English-speaking locals.

A little hard to find (especially at night) but well worth the hunt. A great little spot in a back alley among Beijing's hutongs.

To me I was underwhelmed. The beers all had an after taste of tap water and thin. Much like a begining home brew. The people were all nice and what seemed to be a clicky community of ex pats. Wasn't so bad to find in the hutongs. Don't think I'd revisit unless I hear they improve on the quality

Tucked away in a beautiful traditional hutong neighborhood, this place is a must for anyone living in or passing through Beijing. The interior is cozy and comfortable and most evenings filled with a jovial crowd of expats and locals alike. The staff are friendly and knowledgable.
The 10 to 12 beers on tap leave you with plenty of options, whatever your preferences. Their flagship Captains Pale ale is a big, bold American pale ale with year-round drinkability. Some other favorites are their Helmsman Yunnan honey ale and their White Cap IPA.The simple food menu of burgers, bratwurst, and fries is surprisingly tasty for a place that puts their focus on the beer.
Overall, a great place to grab drinks and/or a meal with friends.

Very quiet clean interior tucked in a hutong away from a main drag. Stopped in for beers and burgers early in the evening, so had the place to ourselves. Limited food menu but high quality burgers and sausages.
Staff was very friendly and happy to discuss the beers. Overall a decent range of styles, with new ones arriving regularly.
