Poured into a Renaissance glass at the brewery.
A: A clear pale yellow with a bright white foamy head that lingers. Frothy lacing.
S: Picking up fruity hops with some mango and lemon. A light malt presense.
T: Bitter hops open but soon taper off to more tropical notes. Light, smooth and a bit sweet. The finish is a surprising malt character that lingers on the tongue. It went great with my turkey sandwich.
M: Low to medium with low to medium carbonation.
O: For hopheads who like a bit of bitterness in their IPA, this one fits the bill. I was hoping for more tropical notes. A light, sessionable beer for St. Paddy's parade goers and on the back patio. Hal White would be pleased.

First had on draft into pint tumbler. This Belgian IPA, a refreshing combination of "the hop-character of an India Pale Ale with the wheat base and spice additions, including orange peel and coriander, of a refreshing Belgian Wit," is an excellent tribute to the late Hal White, supporter of all things Jackson, and who as chef and soup impresario at the iconic Hal and Mal's Restaurant (Mal being his brother Malcolm), regularly created soups with previously unimagined combinations of ingredients to great effect.
