Poured from 12-ounce can into a tulip glass. Cola-colored body, with a light tan head. Low retention, zero lacing. Aromas and flavors are bourbon barrel-forward, with notes of oaky sourness. Not nearly as much "funk" as I had expected from a Belgian-style quad. Notes of dark fruit and dark bread seemed to get lost in the dominant notes of bourbon barrel. A little boozy for the ABV, which was mitigated to a degree by the excellent carbonation. Fairly clean finish, with some sourness lingering on the palate. I received this in a trade, then cellared it for a while. Okay overall, but maybe I should have gotten to it sooner.

First had this Bourbon-barrel aged Quad, Lucky Town's five-year anniversary ale, at the Taproom for the Lucky Town 5th Anniversary Celebration on 11/10/2017, on draft into 10-oz. tulip. Dark and boozy.
