I always have to hand it to my local, in-person trader, tone 77, especially when he beats me to the punch. I am the founder of The CANQuest (tm), my personal desire to drink & review EVERY CANned beer in existence, but it is becoming impossible & when CANpounded with The Bottle Backlog here at Chez Woody, the tasks are monumental, to say the least.
As a lifelong Pennsylvanian & a Pittsburgh sports fan since the tender age of 9 y/o in 1974, I should be in love with the CANcept of this beer, but sadly, I disdain sports radio. Quelle domage. Onward & CANward!
I Crack!ed open the pahnder CAN, 'n' 'at & listened closely for Mark Madden or anyone else to hold forth. When only silence ensued, I began a gentle Glug into an awaiting glass. I was met with two fingers of foamy, rocky, light-tan head with decent retention. Color was Deep Amber/Light Copper to Copper (SRM = > 13, < 17) with NE-quality clarity, 'n' 'at. Nose had a light biscuity sweetness, which was fine by me. I have had my fill of malt bombs in this style. Mouthfill was medium to full, not quite creamy, but definitely big for th' style. Th' taste was more biscuity than outright sweet & right up (or dahn) my alley. It was very drinkable & frankly, rather unobtrusive. It had the clean taste of a lager without being either too sweet or too dry. Finish was semi-dry, but if you want to argue the point, I CAN CANcede it to yinz. Now, it's time to get on the dahntahn bus 'n' head dahn fer th' game, 'n' 'at. Jeet jet? Primanti's has some nice sammiches 'at yinz CAN grab onna way.

A thanks to the creator of the canquest, woodychandler, for this beer. Has a copper color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of caramel malts. Taste is caramel malts, light hops, some sweetness, very easy drinking. Feels medium/light bodied in the mouth and overall is a good beer, it probably would be a great thirst quencher during the summer.

Snagged a can of this for 2 bucks again hard to pass up a pounder at that price.
Wow this beer is not shy with the carbonation a full two inches of froth atop a rather clear amber red color. Smell is rather sweet and has a sort of dry nuts scent with no hardcore bittering hops. Taste is pretty basic amber red ale sweet and slightly dry finish which reminds me of dry roast peanuts. Body is somewhat light if not watery like most Rivertowne brews making for an easy to crush beer experience.
Overall kind of bland and forgettable this beer is really not worth picking up.
