Beer was described by the waitress as "like a dunkleweizen". Color is a cloudy chestnut joined by a small head. Aroma is of a light, sweet toasted malt. Flavor is of sweet roasted malt, ranging closer to the taste of a sweet brown ale than any dark wheat I've sampled. Only a faint background of wheat is noted. No yeasty flavors here either. Drinkability is high. Okay, this didn't taste like any dark wheat I've sampled, yet Charlotte's Wheat was very enjoyable.
