Growler share from Matt. Nicely done DIPA, smooth without any noticeable alcohol burn. Orange copper body, elements of fruit, candy and of course malt. Some sweetness at the end.

Appearance: dark golden with a slight hue of amber. Wonderfully brite, without the slightest bit of haze. You can literally read through this beer. The head is a 1-finger off-white that fades quickly, which is the only variable preventing a perfect 5.
Aroma: hops and sweet malt. From the nose, this is clearly a west coast IPA. Well balanced between the malt sweetness and hops.
Flavor: well balanced. The malt is present but restrained and the hops are not over the top.
Mouthfeel: nice, appropriate for style. Perfect to polish a crowler by yourself.
Overall: a damn solid effort. I'm happy to see all IPAs have not transitioned to NE hazy styles. This beer is very well done, and well balanced. This is my first try of Cannonball Creek's beers. From this one example, I will absolutely try their other offerings. This beer is very similar to Pliny the Elder.

a really incredible beer here, but still not as good as the regular mind bender i dont think. its a little sweeter, and the alcohol could be even higher as a result, its not all the way done fermenting it doesnt seem, although the sweetness isnt a bad thing here as it marries up with the oily hops really nicely and works pretty well on the whole, the hop profile is equally distinct as the regular mindbender though, its so tropical and juicy and fresh and hazy and raw. i like how less refined it seems to be, more east coast in nature than some of the others they do. has a real rich feel to it for such a pale color, and i swear i get mosaic and citra out of it, although im not totally positive what hops are in here. carbonation is awesome, and its something i usually find lacking in big ipa, so its more than welcomed here. its scary drinkable too for how strong it is, you just wouldnt know it. one of the best big india pales being made in colorado right now, i hope it sticks around, but i dont think it tops the original mindbender. thats the best of the best.

Excellent. Beer server said they brew it twice a year and change up recipe each time. This batch was 40% more hops than ever before. Great beer - darn near as good as Comrade's Hop Chops.

5 oz. pour served on tap at the brewery. Hazy orange color, good head. Aroma is fruity, peaches and citrus, hint of alcohol. Flavor is citrusy, fruity, bitter, hints of alcohol. This is a pretty good double IPA and I am very biased towards west coast IPA's (which this is not). I would defintiely order this again if it were on tap but I also think I might enjoy the mindbender IPA a little bit more.
