Draft at brewery. Another GABF hold winner, but I’m not getting it. Seems kind of sweet. Definitive yeast characteristics, but picking up some here notes too, bananas, etc. Pale golden pour, yeasty, grape juice aroma. Props for winning a medal, but I’ve had better.

This was the best of the several samplers I had here. Great flavor and color, medium-high alcohol content that didn't overpower the Belgian flavor, and a great contrast to the darker beers I also tried. I'd think this should be their biggest seller; at least it would be if I was their largest customer. Make sure to get this one if it's available when you go.

Pure a slightly hazy straw gold, with a me finger bubbly head that dissapates quickly. Nice lacing. A good Belgian yeast smell. Very clean and crisp taste with the Blgian yeast finishing off well. Not a heavy Belgian taste, but good.

one of the best american made belgian goldens ive had in awhile, likely the best in colorado, its so clean and easy drinking, and you would never in a million years know its as strong as it is. drinks like 5% abv, and it will get you into trouble pretty quickly. i like that its not overly ester laden or bubblegum forward like so many warm fermented american belgian disasters, its subtle in its yeast complexion, yet also quite distinct. i pick up subtle notes of sage and lemongrass, as well as a soft white peppery thing that goes great with the clean feeling base beer. super radiant golden color, perfectly clear, bright and attractive under nearly two inches of snow white foam. carbonated highly as well, and relatively simple in terms of the grain, i suspect a belgian pils type base, maybe some flaked oats or something too though, because this has quite a bit of body for what it is. quicker in the finish than many of its peers, and almost creamy in feel for a second before it gets cleaned up. certainly not the most complex beer in the world, but it doesnt need to be. infinitely drinkable too, i cant get enough right now.

Cannonball Creek Solid Gold Belgian Golden: My 200'th review. Never thought I would get here. Does the world need 200 beers? Who would have guessed that Denver would have 40+ brewpubs? The world of beer is changing too fast to keep up with.
Yes, I have been to Belgium. Yes, I am a fan of Belgian style brews. And where to get a great one? Golden, Colorado. Slightly hazy sunshine body. Thin head that laces well. The unmistakable Belgian style aroma. Pure heaven first sip to last. Spot on Belgian style flavor, Cannonball Creek nails it, and so few can. If you like the style, you will love this beer. If you have never tried a Belgian ale, this is the one to try.
Forget the Russian Imeperial Stouts, forget the American Double IPA's. This is the best beer you will ever have, in this universe, or in any universe that ever was, or ever will be. Take advantage of the opportunity.
