A howler purchased at the brewery poured in a 13oz. tulip for the review.
Look- Pours a very clean transparent gold color leaving a finger of white foam. It settles quite rapidly leaving no lacing on the glass.
Smell- Dank and juicy with loads of passionfruit, pineapple, mango and fresh rubber. There are some spicy/floral notes that emerge as well.
Taste- Passionfruit, mango, grapefruit and pineapple take center stage, followed by floral, butyl, and a rye-like spice.
Feel- Sticky and resiny with a slick finish.
Overall- The best IPA/DIPA I've had in Colorado since visiting Comrade. This is a well crafted dank and juicy hop bomb. A bit pricy at $21 including the glass, but worth every penny.
