i dont know anything at all about this series, except that this edition of it is really fantastic. i like all the beer here, but it really is the hoppy beer that sets cannonball creek apart. this is radiant honey colored, crystal clear, and with a little bit of oily hop derived viscosity to it. nice tall white head, gorgeous brew. the aroma and flavor are just the freshest hops out there, wet pine sap, heavy grapefruit, and a little honey sweetness from the malt. really a pretty classic hop flavor profile, not sure if these are supposed to be experimental hops or what, but its very northwestern and familiar. what makes it different for me is the pungency and the freshness, both really stand out to me. high bitterness too, this is definitely an ipa for ipa drinkers, no fruit, no double dry hopped half fermented stuff, this is the real deal, classic west coast type ipa, and one of my favorites made in colorado in a long time. these guys can do no wrong right now, especially on the hoppy stuff!
