A nice beer for a new brewery just on the foothills edge.
Dark brown, black pour, looks calm and toasty. Small off tan head settles to a thin layer.
Toasted bread and roasted malt, some hints of sweetness in the nose. Sharp pine, but it's gentle, if that makes sense. Hints of toffee.
Not quite as smooth as some oatmeal stouts. This has a touch of a bit...a nibble? Nice roasty characters and quite drinkable at 4.5 Would do well on a cool evening...if they had a patio. Went well with the BBQ truck food
