Over the years I've drunk quite a few Indian beers but, with a few exceptions, they all seem to belong to the watery macro lager style, and with very little difference bewteen them. This one is no different. It poured in a yellow golden yellow colour with hardly any foam. There's not much smell but what little there is, it is sweet with some fruit, citrus, and dishrag notes. The taste was overwhelmingly watery and the beer lacks body. But the sensitive palate may discover some brief traces of bread and pears, and a tinge of bitterness at the end.

Pours light golden yellow with a thin head that soon fizzles to nothing.
The smell has just a hint of graininess that is overpowered by a thin adjunct aroma.
The taste is sweet husk and cooked veggies. Are there any hops in this? None that I can find...The label states that it is made of carefully blended malts, but nothing about hops...go figure...they're not there, or at least none that are noticeable. This is just awful - one of the worst-tasting beers, if not the worst, that I have had. Plenty of water, but not enough to offset the bad, chemical-like taste.
It has one of the worst mouthfeels too. I don't know how much adjucts are used, but they sure run the show. It doesn't go down so easily despite high water and the medium carbonation.
The label says "For export out of India"...Don't know if it just doesn't hold up well, but it's nothing more than a bland malt and adjunct mix.

Haywards 2000 - H2K - pours a clear gold body that's capped by a short head of bright white foam. The head retention is fairly good, and although it drops a bit it still maintains a thin creamy layer across the surface. Some minor lace also adds to the appearance.
The nose is clean and displays some delicate malt.
The mouthfeel is lightly crisp and smooth with a medium body and fine-bubbled, moderate carbonation.
The mildly sweetish malt found in the nose returns in the flavor, balanced by an underlying hop flavor and firm bitterness. It finishes drying with some residual lingering malt.
Overall it's a pretty basic American-style macro lager that won't "wow" anyone nor offend anyone.

This is a waste of money, it has no good attributes whatsoever.
The colour is a thin yellow and a little hazy. The head was very thin as well. Very little lace with a minor glass ring.
Carbonation is medium/light.
The nose is of paper.
The body is weak.
The taste is similar to rainwater trapped in a rubber raincoat.
Very unpleasant.

Brewed July 2003 according to the bottle. Pale-yellowy-golden; healthy white head. Slightly hazy. Good, yeasty, slightly alcoholic aroma that typifies a lager-style beer. Moderate hoppiness, but there's a very slight grainy-adjunct feel too which is unfortunate but not too bad. Quite clean-drinking, with a subtle bitter aftertaste.
To sum this one up, quite enjoyable - not the best but not bad.
