Copenhagen 1/7 2024. 44 cl can from Meny, Nordens Plads, Frb. F. Green and black can In Poppel's usual design with a long written history of the beer including food pairings.
Pours slightly unclear golden amber with a mid-sized white head. Stable. Settles as thin, almost transparent lyer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of slightly fermented, overripe Stone fruits mingling with more subdued citric notes. Sweet peach and mango. Whiff of decay. Lemon and grapefruit.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a medium strong sweetness followed and balanced by a medium strong citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a while. Finish is rather dry.
Solid Indian Pale Ale for Pizza, Hamburger and Grilled Meat.

440 ml can, as Poppels Pine India Pale Ale, from Vinmonopolet Madla. ABV is 6.5%, IBU 50. Slightly hazy golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma of piney and citric hops. The flavour is slightly on the dry side, piney / resinous and grapefruity hops, bitter finish. A bit one-dimensional, maybe - but decent enough.
