Imperial NEIPA is a twisted version of IPA from Vermont in the New England region of the eastern United States. Significant for the style is that it requires dry hopping, i.e. hopping during fermentation. The beer has a proper hoppiness with a full, juicy taste.

Copenhagen 21/10 2022. 44 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Yellow can with what looks like a dark pink star and a little hop made out to look like a hand grenade. I think I get the message. As Poppels Imperial NEIPA DDH.
Pours opaque, golden yellow with a small white head. Stable. Settles as thin, flimsy, almost transparent layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of slightly fermented tropical fruits mingling with subtle scent of citrus. Mango, passion fruit, peach with a hint of decay. Oranges and a bit of grapefruit.
Medium strong carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a notable sweet undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is rather dry.
Potent and sweetly fermented with a subtle bitter bite.
