Copenhagen 15/12 2018. 33 cl small Chubby bottle from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh Ø. Red version of Poppel’s usual labeldesign with a lot of information including quotes from the Brewmaster.
Pours opaque dark brown with medium-sized off-white head. Settles as thin, flimsy layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. No Lacing.
Aroma is intense and sweet. Brown sugar, dark roasted malts, Tobacco, dark chocolate.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, Soft texture. Lightly tingling.
Flavor is rather sweet. Followed by and bondes by medium, sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter-ish. Lingers for a while.
Light and easy to drink porter with a good balance between the sweet and bitter.
