On tap:
Pours a hazed blood orange hues amber. White head might have a few specks of pink in there. Thick collar, brief lacing.
Nose has floral accents to a sour orange to grapefruit tartness. The floral either combines with or adds a little nectar-to-honeydew sweetness.
Taste starts with a light tartness and a medium cracker-like malt flavor. Hibiscus with the tart brings a pseudo berry note to mind. Tart stays at a nice moderate level, allowing the malt to come back into play a little near the end. Not getting much salinity.
A light and refreshing feel, not too puckering with a medium carbonation level.
An enjoyable beer, flavorful and balanced - solid.

Gose is a style that is usually not my thing, but every once in a while I fund one I enjoy. This was one of those. Nicely tart, but acidity seems low, keeping it drinkable and refreshing. Saltiness is also at a nice medium level, and the spices add just enough to keep it interesting. Nicely executed.

A: Pours a clear rosy red-brown. Very little head that dissipated almost instantly.
S: Very little aroma other than a faint funk.
T: Starts sour with a tart berry flavors. Nice fruity and sour flavors neither which overpower the other.
M: Light body, moderately acidic with matching carbonation.
O: A very nice refreshing drink. Very drinkable and not quite sour nor sweet. Would pair nice with a warm summer night.

Drinking from bottle at my house. Nice pink/red hue with a small head. No lacing but Gose style rarely laces up. So now on to the taste. Probably one of the highest quality standard Gose I've had to date. It's a wonderful balance of the salt and sour with sweetness in balance. Really, no homerism here at all, this one is done on a world class level. I highly recommend for any lover of Gose / Berlinner Weisse beers to get Monocacy a try on this one. And for Monocacy/Mr. Flores, put this one into a seasonal release each summer and perhaps consider doing some off-shoot variants from it. It's a true winner on the world stage.
