History Lesson on Luiks Beer Style (what this beer is but not listed on BA so I went with Belgian Pale Ale): Traditional ale from the low countries: during the 17th century beer from the Belgian regions became very popular with the rich people in Holland. One of the most popular was the beer from Luik. The beer is mainly brewed with speltmalt, with the addition of some unmalted wheat and some barley. Furthermore, it was amber in color and quite powerfully hopped. Because of its high quality and durability, the beer was found quite often in the cargo of ships to Surinam, South-Africa and Indonesia. Until far in the 19th century, Dutch breweries produced this Luiks speltbeer. In 2015, the campaign for Dutch beerstyles revived this ancient historical beerstyle.

Extremely tasty. Anyway, Monocacy once again showcases their brewing supremecy in MD and can do nearly any style of beer excellent to world class.
