Solid, though unremarkable barleywine. It does have that nice, bourbon-like aroma. But not so much in the actual flavor, which is a touch medicinal.
Poured into a glass, there is almost no head and no lacing - for those to whom lacing is important. Carbonation is medium... about right, I think, for the style.
