Purchased at Bound Beverage, Warrington, PA. 4pk/16oz cans
Poured into a tulip glass. A golden orange color, hazy and totally opaque. A one finger head that fades to a skin and leaves sticking lacing on the sides of the glass.
Wonderful aromas of citrus (grapefruit) and hops.
A very tasty DIPA. Flavors of tropical fruits especially grapefruit and lemon that combine with piney hops. Goes down smooth and ends with a dry, bitter aftertaste. The ABV is well hidden.
Slightly viscous and creamy mouthfeel with medium carbonation.
Overall, an excellent DIPA. There are a lot of hazy IPAs on the market nowadays. This brew holds its own against some of the btter ones I’ve enjoyed. Well done, Ship Bottom…cheers!

This was one of two beers from Ship Bottom that was given to me by my cousin recently as I never had anything from them before. For an Imperial IPA, this went down quite easily as it didn't have any rough edges to it and was quite enjoyable from the first sip I took. Lots going on here but in the end, this was a beer that slid down the hatch nicely but certainly not mindlessly!
Interesting pour to this as the liquid was brassy, bright, and radiant with a fine sediment floating in it everywhere. A nice, fluffy head topped this off as the lacing left behind was sparse aside from a deep ring near the top of my pint glass. Lots of wheat, bright citrus, floral notes, and some soap in the nose as the latter two notes were magnified once I gave this a sip. Couldn't taste the oats but they were felt in the full body as the El Dorado was much more pronounced than the Mosaic. Tangy lime and some dank pineapple emerged once this fully warmed up as this had a nice variance to the flavors. Hints of stone fruit and some tropical, floral notes emerged near the end and could be felt in the aftertaste, with some hints of bread in the malt.
Plenty of booze in this but it was on par with everything else that was going on as it complemented the heavier fruit notes that were inherent in this beer. Nothing was written on the bottom of the can except "20230" and the time under it, as this might have been brewed on the 230th day of this year. Regardless, this tasted and felt fresh as there wasn't any sediment at the bottom of the liquid when I let this settle. Not like other IPA's from this neck of the woods, and underlying creaminess and sweetness was enough to tie everything in together as this was not a juice bomb, haze fest, or an ice cream milkshake. Perfect for lounging out with on the Jersey Shore!
