Pretty sure this was the one I had at BeerNV last summer before the Alabama show at Lake Tahoe. Broke up the heavy hitters from Fremont.
Pours a light purple color indicative of pomegranite. I drank so many pomegranite homebrews, didn't think I would ever go back. Has a nice fruity aroma, wasn't picking up salinity, but it was still 'nice' as they say. Sourness present in the nose, nothing really complex going on.
Taste fits the bill, comes across more like a wild ale gose hybrid. A bit more fruit, sourness than a traditional gose, less salinity, if any. Mild sweetness and dryness going on in the mouthfeel. Seemed like there was a different fruit besides pomegranate.
Overall it was a nice respite between the very different and heavier beers that day. It may not have hit some of the benchmarks for style, but summer should really be the season to forget about that kind of stuff.
