On tap at the brewery today.
Pouring a very dark brown/almost black with a dense, creamy head with nice retention and lacing. The nose is a massive, massive infusion of Stumptown's Hairbender coffee, spicy, mildly roasted with some berry and fruit notes. This really smells like a good cup of coffee. There's some chocolate, a touch of vanilla and maybe some cinnamon? The palate opens with plenty of coffee, has a lite brown sugar and vanilla before heading back to coffee land. Medium in body with creamy carbonation, this feels great on the palate. The coffee expression is quite excellent - fruity, clean, mildly roasty and distinctly spicy. With a long coffee like finish, this feels great on the palate. Yummy stuff.
