Lunch Break is our hop forward session beer, built for enjoying any time of day. Whether you call this beer a Session IPA, American Pale Ale, India Session Ale, Mini IPA, or something totally different, we know that you’ll find this beer to be full of juicy, classic hop flavor with just enough malt backbone to keep things in balance. We reserve some of our favorite hops–Simcoe, Amarillo, Cascade and Centennial–to use in this beer, which gives the aroma a heady mix of lemongrass, orange marmalade, grapefruit, pine and resin. Hop heads who seek a big punch of hops in the nose need look no further!

Bottle from Albertsons. Starts out nice, medium golden pour with small foamy head.Muted aroma, equal parts malty and hoppy. Taste follows closer to an APA than an IPA, mild bitterness, Slightly sweet and fruity, but dry bitter flavor lingers.

From the bottle, it pours a nice hazy amber with a large, thick head that sticks around. Definite citrus scent in the nose. The mouth gets a lightly lemony lightly malty altogether pleasant ale. Nice!

Pours a slightly hazy yellow with hints of orange. a creamy 2-finger head that has good retention.
Aroma of malts, hops, lilikoi and citrus.
Taste of tangerine, grain, sweet, malt and grapefruit hop flavor. Pretty mild all around.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and cleansing.
Overall, it was OK. I was hoping for more. Not one I would want again.

Poured into an English pint glass, the appearance was a semi-bright yellow quaint orange color with a slight glossy transparency about it. Finger's worth of white foamy cap quickens to a light concave foaminess running tightly inward. Some soapy clingy foamy lace ran about the sides of the glass.
The aroma brightens with some even flowing floral hop qualities over some melon/cantaloupe sweet clean character openly riding upon some pine/resin sweet to bitterness.
The flavor leaned slightly sweet initially and then nicely balanced into an evened out bitterness right before it glided on into the aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was low bodied with a nice clean embrace of the carbonation gripping appropriately to follow with the ABV as projected by the brewer. Bright citrusy to resinous and melon-like sweet finish (really damn nice!).
Overall, really nice session IPA that I would love to have again.
