32 oz crowler from Growl Movement in S.Salem OR $7 Poured into Warsteiner mug..black beer with a lovely thick and creamt bubbly tan head. Aroma of medium roast coffee, prunes, chocolate and lactose. Taste at first if of a strong sweet stout..then the roastiness of the malts takes over..very good, Nice pleasing medium thick palate..nice semi dry finish with a touch of bitterness. A good stout. Would have again

Pours a black color. 1/3 inch head of a tan color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of strong roasted malt, sweet malt, slight hops, hint of pine, slight yeast, and slight oatmeal. Fits the style of an American Stout. Mouth feel is smooth and clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of strong roasted malt, sweet malt, slight hops, hint of pine, slight yeast, and slight oatmeal. Overall, great blend, good appearance, complexity, and aroma.
