a pretty textbook example of the style here, a delicate and easy drinking clean belgian beer thats just full of flavor. not as milky or thick looking as some others, more refined, cleared up but not clear, bright in the glass under a tall white wispy belgian looking head with superb retention and gorgeous lacing. a little springy spice in the nose, white pepper and coriander and green tea, some grassy bitterness seems to be there too, and the most delicate belgian pils and light wheat malts, simple but understood and expert, super appealing. not overly yeasty as the style goes either, i get the fruity esters of the belgian strain, but it is appropriately held back here too, white wine and orange notes, a little peach juice or something sweet for a second, and then an herbal finish with coriander coming back, dry and sparkling, with a very light body. this is warm weather beer for me, a total crusher, and overall a really polished version of a wit. faint citrusy acidity at the end and some bitter too, maybe from the orange peel. floral and vibrant and poundable. great beer all up!
