2X - Dry Hopped Breakside India Pale Ale. What could be "more Portland" than two homegrown brands working together to create Portland's favorite type of beer? We've teamed up with the folks at @Portland Gear to bring you this special variant of our flagship IPA recipe. we've taken our two standard bearer IPAs -- Wanderlust and Breakside IPA -- and brought elements of each into this new release. Beyond the IPA mash up, we've doubled down on our dry hop in this beer, splitting our aroma charge into two separate additions and adding in some extra varietals and weight to give the beer even more punch than normal. One taste and you'll be proud to live in this city that truly is Beervana, USA

I agree with the other reviews. Very good IPA goes down smooth with good citrus hop and good malt backbone that is not overly strong. Another good brew from Breakside.

Look: Crystal clear golden with a frothy white head that explodes to the rim and holds well, slowly settling and revealing sticky lacing clung to the glass
Aroma: Lemons, orange, pink grapefruit, tangerine, pine, rasp/straw/blueberries, Cannabis, freshly baked bread, and wafts of passionfruit
Taste: Starts out with pithy and tart grapefruit rind and flesh that hits hard and quickly followed by a ton of sappy pine needles and wet fir needles. Citrus develops and mixed berries and Cannabis peek in all atop a light bready malt base. Closes with a nice bite
Mouthfeel: Full, slick, medium-high carbonation, and dry on the finish
Overall: This is a delicious beer. Leave it to these folks to double dry hop one of their flagship IPAs and seemingly make an already outstanding beer even better, dare I say. The dry-hopping comes through in depth of hop flavors/aromas throughout and I feel adds to the dryness level too or at least the perceived feel, which I also dig as a fan of drier beers. A tasty and well-made WCIPA and if you are a fan of anything hoppy from Breakside, seek this out

Pours straw gold. A finger of bubbly white head that reduces to a decent ring that persists down to the bottom of the glass. Smell is tropical fruit and citrus along with some bitter hop. Taste follows suit with sweet fruit on the front followed by a dank/bitter/pine hop profile and an oniony aftertaste. I never knew what folks meant by onion flavor until I drank this beer but there is a clear onion flavor on the backend that I actually found to be a compliment to the rest of the flavors within the beer. Feel is crisp and refreshing but full and velvety in the same breath. Delicious, would drink again.

A super solid IPA. Lightly hazed golden liquid produces a good head and lacing. Sticky comes to mind.
Nose has a load of Citrus, and tropical fruits over a bed of pine.
Sweet clean malt and yeast set the stage for a parade of hoppy goodness. Pine and grapefruit with an undercurrent of guava, pineapple and mango. Clean short finish with a trace of grapefruit zest.
Light body and lively carbonation create a crisp and thirst quenching beer.
This a and IPA that begs you to session it. 'Nuff said

Cloudy golden pour with a finger of white foam. Classic ipa meets dry hops but in a great way! Hello citrus in the nose, with light pineapple and dry piney hops. Taste follow the nose with faint floral and resin accents. Feel finishes soft and dry after a classic start with malt and hop working in tandem. Decently crisp yet full.

From the IPAFEST and notes. Canned 3/25/21 pours a light hazy yellow and orange color. Smells of light malt, citrus and hoppy. Taste follows the nose and very light and no bitterness. Mouthfeel the same, light and easy drinking. Very nice drinking IPA. Send more.

Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a very lightly hazed yellow-amber color with a one finger head of puffy white foam. The head has a good level of retention, slowly fading over time to leave a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is strongest of a bready smell mixed with a little bit of doughiness as well as some light aromas of pear and a little bit of tangerine. At the same time there are some hoppy smells of a pine nature as well as a bit of an herbal hop smell and a little bit of lemon grass and grain.
Taste – The taste begins with a dry cracker malt backbone flavor that has a tiny bit of caramel and some light tangerine citrus. From the start there is a moderate showing of a grapefruit hop as well as a little bit of a herb and pine. As the taste advances the later flavors grow stronger in nature, along with an increase in some tastes of a light doughiness and a bit of harvest fruit. All the while the tangerine and the caramel fade, and with a bit of graininess, one is left with a dry, and decently more dankly hopped taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is thin and crisp with a carbonation level that is rather high. For the style and the tastes, the feel is great and makes for a nice crisp sipping brew.
Overall – A rather nice IPA. Not over the top in any way, but flavorful and enjoyable throughout.

Poured from can into tulip, good 3 finger cram colored head, great retention and lacing. Bright golden crystal clear in the glass, head looks like fluffy clouds. Big citrus and guava on the nose, excited to try this, not sure what hop it is (mosaic), but I get what I describe as a brightness on the nose. Taste is initially sweet malt, then bright citrus, grapefruit and a great firm bitterness on the finish. Mid palate there is a slight dankness, not predominate, but just under the malt. Finish is crisp and dry

16 oz. can from Lifesource Natural Grocers in Salem OR.
$4.00
Pours a nice burnt orange body with a lovely rocky/frothy cream coloured head.
Nice ,strong hoppy aromas//mainly citrus. But with a bit of floral.
Taste has the same as the aroma but had a bitter bite right at the start. Then leads into a nice soft orange hop buzz. But then again changes near the end..to more bitter again.
Very nice mouth feel. Light but at the same time substantial. Finished semi dry.
A very good DH IPA
